Dietrich is American, grew up on a family stud, and qualified at Univ. of Georgia in 1982. He practiced in Maryland at a referral equine hospital before moving to the UK in 1986 and established the Equine Veterinary Clinic in 1989. He holds the IVAS (International Veterinary Acupuncture Society) Certificate in Veterinary Acupuncture and was President of the Association of British Veterinary Acupuncturists. His pioneering research into acupuncture and thermography has been published widely (Acupuncture in Medicine, Veterinary Clinics of North America: Equine Practice). He lectures internationally in veterinary acupuncture, pain management, and equine thermography.

Adam Jackson BSc BVM&S MRCVS

Adam was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. While obtaining a Bachelor of   Science Degree in Canada, he also worked for the equine unit of The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (The Mounties). He read veterinary medicine at The Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at The University of Edinburgh.  His main practice interests are in dermatologic, digestive, and metabolic disease.

Vicky Reis VN, ITEC Equine Sports Massage

Vicky, our head nurse, is from South Africa where she obtained her Diploma in Veterinary Nursing from the veterinary faculty at Onderstepoort. She holds two diplomas in equine sports massage (US and UK). As a member of the National Association of Animal Therapists, Vicky has worked extensively in equine physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Her skills are integral to our in-patient care, assistance in theatre, and in our sports medicine and rehabilitation efforts.

Jackie Down & Sarah Goody, Practice Administrators

Sarah and Jackie’s combination of equestrian and business skills keep the practice running smoothly and efficiently. As horse owners and riders they are able to understand the concerns of our clients. They strive to help our practice focus on progress and responsiveness to our patients and their owners.
